Losers Need to Just Shut Up!

Two Controversial American leaders have been unable to resist the opportunity to show their ignorance and stick their feet in their respective mouths after last Tuesday's elections.
The first, The Reverend Mr. Pat Robertson, who my blogging friend "Phinky" refers to as America's Radical Cleric, condemned all the voters of the greater Dover, Pennsylvania area to eternal damnation for recognizing "Intelligent Design" (a 21st century phrase fronting as "Creationism") for the nonsense that it is. God will no longer protect these people from tornados, hurricanes, earthquakes, famine, pestilence and epidemics because of their transgressions at the great American ballot box suggests the founder of the "500 Club".
The other, Fox News Network's Bill O'Reilly, has suggested that the San Francisco area would make a great target for Al Qaeda terrorists and that it would be
appropriate because that community's voters chose last Tuesday to ban handguns and to no longer permit military recruiters to visit area high schools looking for manpower.
They both remind me of the type of kid we all knew as children who owned the only football in the neighborhood and when a decision in the game went against him took his pigskin and went home.
Except in these situations they are both adults and have hundreds of thousands of followers. At some point some of these true believers must peel themselves off from the mass and recognize that these two fools both are missing important parts of their brains.
They lost..they need to just shut up..!

Yes, Robertson and O'Reily (boy that man scares me!)are both for "diversity", different opinions and "freedom of speech and religion".....as long as everyone thinks and feels just like them, and agrees with everything they say and do then you are not "the enemy"!..pretty scary that kind of prejudice and bigotry isn't it? Its only getting worse, thanks to their hatred, cruel and sick comments like that..oh and lets not forget Rush limbaugh..or however you spell his name..I'm so tired of hearing "liberal media, liberal bias, liberal this liberal that liberal, liberal liberal"..can't they think of a new line?..how long can they keep using the word "liberal" blamed for everything under the sun for heaven sake! What's liberal anyway? I mean how are they interpreting it? Communists? "Radical", "No morals" "evil ones" what? I don't get it? I think you can only keep saying and using one word over and over year after year for so long until people get sick and tired of hearing it! Maybe they will soon replace it by saying "its the moderate media's fault, its the moderate bias, its the moderates values fault"...blah blah..whatever works!!..lol

wwwhhoooo...thanks, I feel better now that I got that off my chest..;o)...Thanks for posting this, good for you! Go Jip!

Blessings,
Rhiannon

Khrishna,
It might be harsh, but they are not "politicians".
The First, Mr. Roberts is a "charlaton" posing as a religious leader.
The second, Mr. O'Reilly is a "commentator" pretending to be a newsman.

Rhiannon,
I wouldn't go so far as to say that either of these men is advocating bigotry or hatred, however they often tailor their message as to not anger those that practice it. This past week they both went over the line of common sensibility.
On the subject of liberal or conservative bias in the media (you can quickly find what on the surface appears to be both kinds) I believe this perception arises because reporters believe in what I call "the concept of equivocation"..that there are two equally valid sides to every story and that the reporter must be present both sides.
As soon as a journalist reports an opinion that one side believes violates their value system that side concludes the reporter is biased toward the other point of view.
If you'd like to see as valid examples of "conservative bias" in the media checkout Craig Crawford's "Attack the Messenger".

Rhiannon,
I apologize for not noticing you had the Ayatollah of the 500 Club's name right and I didn't.
It is Robertson and now I understand why I had so much trouble finding his picture..lol.. I finally found it by looking up the Christian Broadcasting Network..

In most respects, the piety of O'Reily and especially that of Robertson, is really radical conservatism. What's worse than a liberal? Why, a loud-mouthed conservative, of course. It's one thing to be loud-mouthed and out-spoken, it's quite another to make sense.

Thanks for the recent comments over at my place.
Oh, I didn't "forget" Annette. It was late and I was closing the blog - there was a lot more I could have added.
...Ah, the Nestles in the coffee - you must be the inventor of mocha. ;] I like a modern version - Bailey's Irish Cream in the coffee!

Jip, I have Crawfords blog on my links. I got it from your link when I came here "long ago" and clicked on it and like that blog a lot! So I have you to thank for that..:=)Wow he sure does get a lot of comments doens't he? I've checked the book out at Barnes and Noble a while back and read some.

I don't know it does seem a lot of the times that even if "facts" are there and stated, they still "attack the messenger"and "the facts" anyway and start spouting off "venom" and saying the facts or person is wrong because they are a a "liberal". Of course it can go the other way around I do realize, but I'm just so tired of the "attacking" with such mean spiritedness and lack of maturity. I am beginning to love the words "moderate" and "diverse" so much these days, its a nice "balance". I hate to say this and I know some will "attack" me but I wonder does Bush jr. ever realize sometimes he sounds and acts like Hitler when he speaks? I've done a lot of reading about Hitler and his personality and mannerism, etc. Bush, his gestures, his facial expressions, his accusations and the "if your not with us then your with the terrorist" kind of mentality really really scares the heck out of me and many others these days, I feel. When he won the first election my intuition told me "uh oh this is bad news I got a bad feeling" and I think my intuition has served me well, I'm just careful who I say it to these days or I will be attacked! Okay I'm waiting for the knives to be thrown my way now!..:o(

You mean a "dyslexic right brainer" actually got a name right? How cool is that!..LOL! Thanks for telling me that,it made my day!

Angel Blessings Jip,
Rhiannon
